Kaylee Mermaid

I'm so glad I was able to share a mermaid with you each week in May.  Today I have a brand new digi stamp from Some Odd Girl to show you and, of course, it's a MERMAID.

This is Kaylee Mermaid colored with Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils.  The background was made using Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers.  I love watercoloring with both the pencils and markers.  They were a good choice for coloring Kaylee Mermaid to give her a soft look.

Recycle that Denim!

This is the actual denim pocket from a pair of my son's jeans that he outgrew.  I cut the complete pocket out and decided to make a little pocket pouch for pencils or whatever.

I used waterproof, permanent Ranger jet black ink and stamped the poppies.  The poppies are from Crafter's Compaion individual stamps, appropriately named Poppies  I also used Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Aqua markers to add color to the flowers.
