Bring Spring Inside!

Here is a super easy way to bring a little spring time inside to your walls.  I used a Crafter's Companion 6x6 Colorista coloring pad and using Spectrum Noir markers colored it up.  I added card stock to create the look of a frame, plus ribbon and brads for hanging.  Ta-dah!  Something new for spring!

Oh, and I agree, you may want to use something other than a push pin to hang it on the wall!! ;)

Coloring Challenge!

Grab Some Odd Girl's digi Gardening Mae for $1.00 and join the coloring contest at Kit and Clowder.

I'm just getting started using Spectrum noir markers.  There is a learning curve here compared to my usual Copic markers but I love the challenge.  I have a serious alcohol marker addiction.  More practicing to come!!

Welcome Easter with a fun, colorful banner!

What Crafter's Companion materials did I use?  A Colorista page for the letters, Spectrum Sparkle Harvest Moon and Holly Leaf, Spectrum Noir markers, the embossing folder Birthday Party Dots and Collall Tacky glue.

I also used some bakery twine, Kaiser Craft rhinestones, buttons and Core'dinations cardstock.

Little Love!

The April challenge is up at Some Odd Girl!  As usual, Anything ODD Goes, and the optional twist is nothing square.  The designers have some great projects to share with you so be sure to visit the blog for inspiration.

I created this using the digi Baby Bath colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from the SOG clear stamp set Little Loves and was stamped using Memento Rose Bud ink.  Added a few little embellishments and it's ready to go.

Spring Flowers!

Want to send flowers...well how about a paper flower pot full of flowers!  I created this using the Crafter's Companion Create a Flower metal die set by Sheena Douglass.  It has three different sized flower petals so you can build the size and type of flower you want.

I used Bazzill white cardstock to cut the flowers and then colored each.  I wanted the petals to have a little bit of a streaky look hoping that would make them look a bit more natural.  I used Spectrum Noir colors:  HB1, HB3, GB4, GY1, AP4, RB2, LG5.

The card opens so you can leave a personal message inside.
