Honoring Your Hero with Pajama Crafter Stamps!

Today I’m sharing my special card featuring the Smokin’ Hot Heroes stamp set and Back The Blue stamp set from Pajama Crafter Stamps! This card is all about celebrating the brave men and women who serve our communities, with a fun combination of bold colors, adorable characters, and emergency vehicles.

Creating the Fun Fold Card Base

One of my favorite things about this card is that the fun fold design looks impressive but is actually very easy to create!
To begin, cut a piece of cardstock to 8” x 5½”. Score the cardstock at 2” and 6” along the 8” side. Fold both flaps toward the center to create your fun fold card base.
Next, it’s time to add some patterned paper! For my card, I used the Savanna Neutrals Paper Pad from Pajama Crafter Stamps. I cut two strips measuring 5⅜” x 1⅞” to cover the front sections of the card base. These panels add a little pattern and texture while allowing the stamped images to remain the stars of the show.
After adhering the patterned paper, I cut two additional cardstock rectangles measuring 3½” x 2¼” for the front flaps. I adhered one rectangle to each flap, making sure to apply adhesive only along the edge of each flap. This is an important step because we want the two sides to open independently without sticking together!

Decorating the Inside

Now that the card base is ready, it’s time to decorate the inside.

I used some coordinating scraps from my stash to create the inside panels. Cut two more patterned paper strips measuring 5⅜” x 1⅞” to decorate the inner flaps. This is a great way to use up those leftover papers you’ve been saving!

For the back panel, I added a rectangle of patterned cardstock and decorated it with two oval shapes. The ovals provide a perfect place to showcase the adorable fireman character from the Smokin’ Hot Heroes stamp set and the HERO lettering. I love how these elements bring the theme of the card together!

You can use ovals, circles, rectangles, or any other die-cut shapes you have in your craft room to create your own inside design. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different shapes and layers to make the card uniquely yours.

Adding the Sentiments and Finishing Touches

To finish the card, I added the sentiments to the back of the two blue cardstock panels. These messages help complete the design and make the card extra special for someone who serves our community.

The combination of the Smokin’ Hot Heroes and Back The Blue stamp sets makes this design perfect for celebrating firefighters, police officers, and other community heroes. Whether you’re creating a card for a first responder, a family member, a friend, or someone who simply deserves a little extra appreciation, this fun fold design is a wonderful way to let them know they are valued.
