Spring Flowers!

Want to send flowers...well how about a paper flower pot full of flowers!  I created this using the Crafter's Companion Create a Flower metal die set by Sheena Douglass.  It has three different sized flower petals so you can build the size and type of flower you want.

I used Bazzill white cardstock to cut the flowers and then colored each.  I wanted the petals to have a little bit of a streaky look hoping that would make them look a bit more natural.  I used Spectrum Noir colors:  HB1, HB3, GB4, GY1, AP4, RB2, LG5.

The card opens so you can leave a personal message inside.

Recycle that Denim!

This is the actual denim pocket from a pair of my son's jeans that he outgrew.  I cut the complete pocket out and decided to make a little pocket pouch for pencils or whatever.

I used waterproof, permanent Ranger jet black ink and stamped the poppies.  The poppies are from Crafter's Compaion individual stamps, appropriately named Poppies  I also used Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Aqua markers to add color to the flowers.

Shaker Easter Card!

Time for an Easter project!

I used Spellbinders egg shaped dies to create a shaker, which I filled with some fun confetti I grabbed at Target.

This card features the Some Odd Girl digi Eggster Bunny.  He is just the perfect addition to this card.  I also used the sentiment from the clear stamp set Hip Hop Hooray from Some Odd Girl.

This card will stand open but lays flat to close and mail.  Kind of lumpy for mailing so it will require a padded envelope.

Happy Birthday Mom!

My Mom turns 85 tomorrow.  The number of  years may be 85 but my Mom is more like a 68 year old.  We are so lucky to have such a vibrant, active, and smart Mom.

This is her birthday card.  I created it with Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers and Crafter's Companion Bloom rubber stamp set.

What to do with a Medallion?

One easy thing is to turn it into a card.  I trimmed this coloring page from Crafter's Companion so I could use it to create a card.  I also cut out the very center flower and raised it using some Scrapbook Adhesives pop dots.  Quick and easy card!
